Freediving Level 3 Instructor ATUS/CMAS– Pool, 3* Instructor CMAS Freediving Certificate apnea
Definition
>A Level 3 Freediving Instructor is an experienced, certified freediver. CMAS Level 2 Apnea Monitor, who is active and who:- Is certified for First Aid and CPR training;
- Completed the certification procedures for at least 100 students, coming from all levels preceding the CMAS Level 3 Freediving Instructor;
- Successfully completed the CMAS Freediving Instructor Level 3 course requirements.
Abilities - A Level 3 Freediving Instructor is a certified freediver. who has the following skills:
- - Organize all Freediving and Instructor level courses;
- - Act as a safety freediver; for his students;
- - Certify students of all levels Freediving and Freediving Instructor.
Prerequisites
- - &Being old 21 years old;
- - Possess a medical certificate;
- - To be certified CMAS Level 2 Apnea Monitor;
- - To be certified First Aid and CPR monitor;
- - To be active.
Documents
- - Identity card or passport;
- - Medical certificate valid for less than one year;
- - CMAS Level 2 Freediving Instructor Certificate;
- - List of courses delivered and certified students;
- - First Aid and CPR License;
- - Activation document;
- - Risk Acceptance Form.
Duration
- - Theory: 10 x 1 hour lesson;
- - Practical: 4 x 2 hour freediving lessons.
Dive sessions
- - Four (4) sessions minimum.
Performance
- - Static apnea (STA): 3:00 min;
- - Dynamic apnea (DYN): 75 m;
- - Constant Weight (CWT): 30m;
- - Variable weight: 30 m;
- - Free immersion (FIM): 30 m.

- - Freediving Instructor Courses Level 1, 2 and 3;
- - Organization of Freediving Instructor courses;

ÉPractical Education
- - Organization of open water sessions for Level 1, 2 and 3 Freediving Instructor courses;
- - Control of all freedivers during an outing in open water;
- - Organization of security procedures and teams; at various events;
- - Organization of an open water outing;
- - Rescue, CPR and first aid for instructor.
Review

1- Theory:
- The candidate should be able to complete a framework analysis of part of the instructor course;
- The applicant must complete a proposal for the instructors manual on a part of the course.

2- Practice:
- Static apnea (STA): 3:00 min;
- Dynamic apnea (DYN): 75 m;
- Constant Weight (CWT): 30m;
- variable weight: 30 m;
- Free immersion (FIM): 30 m;
- The candidate must pass all the performances. Otherwise, it is not certified.
3- Rescue:
- Rescue of a freediver in syncope at 15m bottom, tow 30m, exit to shore or boat and CPR for 4:00 min.
- - The candidate must pass all three (3) test categories with an 80% pass rate. If he fails to a category, he can ask to be reassessed on this same category thereafter. If he fails to two or more of the three categories, it is not certified.
