Freediving Level 1 Instructor ATUS/CMAS– Pool, 1* Instructor CMAS Freediving Certificate apnea
Definition
A Level 1 Freediving Instructor is an experienced freediver; who completed the CMAS Freediving Instructor Level 1 course. in First Aid and CPR. Otherwise, it remains inactive until it sends a message. the certification documents at; CMAS for approval.
Abilities - A Level 1 Freediving Instructor is a certified freediver. who has the following skills:
- Organize Freediving Level 1 and Level 2 courses;
- - Act as a safety freediver; for his students;
- - Certify your students.
Prerequisites
- - &Being old 18 years old;
- - Possess a valid medical certificate;
- - To be certified Freediver Level 3 or Level 4.
Documents
- - Identity card or passport;
- - Medical certificate valid for less than one year;
- - Freediving Certificate Level 3 or Level 4;
- - Risk Acceptance Form.
Duration
- - Theory: 30 x 1 hour course;
- - Practical: 10 x 2 hour freediving lessons.
Dive sessions
- - A minimum of eight (8) sessions;
- - Two (2) sessions per day are permitted with a break of at least one (1) hour.
Performance
- - Static apnea (STA): 3:00 min;
- - Dynamic apnea (DYN): 75 m;
- - Constant Weight (CWT): 30m;
- - Variable weight: 30 m;
- - Free immersion (FIM): 30 m.

ÉPractical Education
- - Organization of sessions in depth (open water) for Freedivers Level 1, 2, 3 and 4;
- - Importance of briefing and debriefing;
- - Compensation - Teaching practical methods;
- - Advanced Relaxation and Breathing - Teaching Practical Methods;
- - Rescue, CPR and First Aid – Teaching practical methods;
- - Use of video in practical courses;
- - Demonstration of skills;
- - Buoyancy; – fit and control;
- - Monitoring students in deep (open water) diving;
- - Prevention and problem solvingeven in deep (open water) diving.
Exams
1- Theory:
- Exposed oral (10-15 min) on a defined topic;
- 40 questions covering all topics of the theory, standards and requirements for the practice of sports apnea;
- The candidate must answer correctly to; at least 32 questions (80%). Otherwise, it is not certified.
2- Practice A:
- Static apnea (STA): 3:00 min;
- Dynamic apnea (DYN): 75 m;
- Constant Weight (CWT): 30m;
- variable weight: 30 m;
- Free immersion (FIM): 30 m;
- The candidate must pass all the performances. Otherwise, it is not certified.
- Travel 400 m to; swimming, with equipment, in less than 6:00 min;
- Dynamic apnea: 3 x 50 with 40 s recovery;
- Constant weight: 4 x 15m with 15s, 10s and 5s recovery;
- The candidate must succeed in; at least two (2) of the three (3) tests requested. Otherwise, it is not certified.
4- Management:
- Organization and application of a one-day program of a deep apnea course (open water);
- Prevention and problem solving during a deep apnea course;
- Assessment of students.
5- Rescue:
- Rescue of a freediver in syncope at 15m bottom, tow 30m, exit to shore or boat and CPR for 4:00 min.
- - The candidate must pass all five (5) test categories with an 80% pass rate. If he fails on a category, he can ask to be reassessed on this same category thereafter. If he fails two or more of the five categories, he must retake the « Monitor Level 1 » in full.
- - If the candidate fails, he can still be certified. “ Freediver Level 4 » provided it has passed the required performance tests during the « Freediver Level 4 ».
