Freediving Level 1 ATUS/CMAS– Pool, 1* CMAS Freediving Certificate apnea
Description
This level enables students to acquire the knowledge and technical skills essential to safe practice of freediving in the pool. This basic course is aimed at both beginners and people with some experience in freediving and wishing to obtain their accreditation to have access to training, advanced training and activities supervised by accredited instructors.
Prerequisites
- - Minimum age: 14 years old
- - Parental consent for under 18s
- Forms:
- From “ no contraindication » to the practice of sports apnea;
- Medical in case of positive response(s) to the « no contraindication ».

Assessment method
Theoretical exam of 30 questions minimum
- Static apnea (STA);
- Dynamic apnea (DYN);
- Rescue at 3 m minimum depth;
- STA and DYN monitoring.
- - Minimum age: 16 years old;
- - Parental acceptance for under 18s;
- From “ no contraindication » to the practice of sports apnea;
- Medical in case of positive response(s) to the « no contraindication ».

- - Freediving equipment;
- - Diving equipment (buoy, rope…);

- - Apnea free immersion (FIM) and constant weight (CWT);
- - Immersion and propulsion;

- - Breathing and relaxation.
- - Theoretical exam of 30 questions minimum;
- Free Immersion (FIM);
- Constant Weight (CWT);
- Rescue at 8 m depth and towing for 100 m;
- Surveillance.
- - Demonstrate a safe attitude;
- - Theory: get a minimum of 70% correct answers;
- - FIM and CWT: 10 m depth;
- - Rescue at; 8 m depth and towing for 100 m;
- - Monitoring enabled.
