Diving sites CORAL GARDEN

From the beach, just south of the wreck, macro-life and photography enthusiasts will be delighted ! The flora and fauna here is very rich and also abundant, even in the shallows (4-10m).

A number of artificial reef structures attract a large quantity of fishes, including species such as damselfish, butterfly fish, and surgeonfish, and also important numbers of “cleaning stations” where morays, groupers, snappers and other species come to partake in a symbiotic relationship with the shrimps that “clean off” or eat the parasites living on their bodies.  This is an ideal location for a night dive.

Accessibility

At 300 meters from the Liberty wreck, the site is easy to find 15 meters from the shore.

Fauna

You will be able to find scorpion fish, ribbon eels, clown fish, nudibranchs, all kinds of shrimp, ghost pipe fish and frog fish in good season. This site is also where we see the most black tip sharks.

Flora

In the middle Coral Garden, you will see anemones, and an artificial reef a small plane that was placed here more than 15 years ago now. This highly colonized reef is a positive experience, as it is wonderfully invaded by coral. It attracts a multitude of small reef fish.

Depth

The wreck is between a depth of 5 and 28 meters, lying on its right side. The bridge itself side of the sea vertically. The bow to the west, the stern to the east where we can still see the huge bar. One of the two guns is still visible under it's Turet at the front of the ship, at a depth of about 28 meters.

Marine biology, night diving, training, snorkeling, orientation and photography.

Remarks

This place is accessible to all levels. Possibility of snorkeling. Little current and visibility from 10 to 30 meters.
