The Koh Tao wrecks
Akita Maru
The wreck is located about 60 nautical miles from Koh Tao, about 6 hours by boat. It is located on 60 meters and the bottom is on the side, the top of the wreck is located 8 meters deep. About 80 meters long, 14 meters wide and weighing about 3,000 tons. by inflicting damage to the superstructure, she suffered an explosion or a bombing. This is a very rich wreck, with many windows, telegraph and deck machinery. Assume there is a sort of ship work, as opposed to 'maru' classics. The recueilles Information plates manufacturing deck machinery indicate that the ship was manufactured in Japan in 1911.
