Bali, the heart of Indonesia
Diving sites
BATU KELEBIT
Access this dive site within a quick 10 minutes ride in a jukung (traditional boat). BatuKelebit is quite different from the other sites of that shore as the sea floor is made up of white sand, and the corals, beautiful as always, descend to over 60 metres deep. This dive site is ideal for a deep dive.
The average depth of the dive is usually around 25 metres. The site itself is composed of a sloping coral reef, beginning from a very small bay that is exposed to the mild current, making it rich in plankton and therefore a good place to see pelagics, such as rays, tunas, barracudas, and white and black tip reef sharks.
Accessibility
We access the site by boat, from the Tulamben Drop Off. Access from the shore is possible at high tide, about 10 minutes walk for athletes
Fauna
Giant napoleon fish, eagle rays, sharks, fish shcools humpback parrots, green turtles, scorpion fish.
Flora
Beautiful coral land on the west coast of the site to the small pebble beach. Two huge black coral are still visible 35 meters above a magnificent coral field.
Depth
Look at the tide table before diving on this site, are exposed to sea currents, in any case, it is possible to shelter on each side rocks that are flush with the surface of the safety stop.
Dive type
Marine biology, photography, deep diving in the blue, Jukung diving (local boat).
Remarks
It is best to be advanced open water to go to this site. We will be wary of the current in case we did a check of the tide table error. The site is deep, do not forget to check and check the depth
